65. I think that all this news about Britney is sad. I kinda feel bad for her. She is probably heartbroken and stressed out about how Kevin used her to get her money. And she probably feels stupid. I don't think she should take this out on her mother. She needs to realize that family is the most important thing and when all the money and fame is gone and she is left with nothing she will turn right to her family. I really feel bad for her children because they are the ones who are caught in the middle of all this mess. I am the same age as Britney and i have a child as well and if I can offer any kind of advice to her it is to take care of her children they are the most important things in this world. Spend time with them and love them beacuse they grow up so quickly.

66. First I lost total respect for Britney and knew from the moment this whole nonsense with her carrying her first child and she would make a great mother was BS. Then I felt sorry for her after the shaving her head ordeal, etc.... NOW she will remain on my most hated list and I can't wait for the day her son's dish out to her what she has done to her mother 100 times over. Kevin Federline who is a loser is actually looking better and better as the more sane parent.

72. PS. Also, I agree with the posters that say you only get one mum and it is important that they come back together. It's actually not that uncommon for daughters to break away from their mothers for awhile - particularly when mum has been a really close confidant - because that also means the child is socialized to primarily see things through their mothers eyes and not develop their own identity.

I think Lynne is right - they are a tight family and her and Britney love each other and will sort it out - but Britney - I believe - is trying to re-shape the dynamic that has characterised their relationship up until now - to break too much influence of her mother on her - she's growing up and your mid-twenties is usually a pretty messy time - quarter-life crisis and all that. Britney becoming a mother herself also changes that dynamic. When Britney reconnects with Lynne, Lynne will find that she has to adjust the way she has related to Britney and to recognise her more as an adult. Britney is using some shock treatment to get that message through and it is a painful process for them both to go through - but it is not entirely uncommon.
